spiritually centered political building

we believe that a proper relationship to The Most High, yourSelf, your brothers and sisters (ie a healthy spirit) naturally calls you to concern for justice. people who are truly spiritually healthy are actively concerned for justice, community, sharing knowledge and resources, the land. we enjoin the good and forbid the bad.

we also believe that social justice work without spiritual guidance and principles, and without consideration for The Creator, stops short of being truly transformational. As a Muslim-founded organization, we believe that political engagement and spirituality are not separable.

Our organization offers spiritually- aligned and -centered political education spaces, support for community and movement leaders, and opportunities for civic engagement, specifically for Black and historically resource-denied people. equalizing education is a means of shifting power; we use popular education modalities to engage our people in truly transformative grassroots political work.
